Mark Young, Founder and CEO of BeerBoard, has guided the company to become the leading
alcohol technology and automated intelligence company for the on-premise hospitality industry.
Prior to the launch of BeerBoard, Young started in the beer industry in 1998 as Founder/President
of Premier Beverage, a craft beer focused distributorship servicing all of Upstate NY.
After growing the company!s portfolio and customer base, he went on to sell the brand rights to
three large distributors in 2005. That same year, based on his firsthand experience in the industry,
Mark founded BeerBoard with the intent to bring more automation and intelligence to the
beer supply chain.
Since its inception, BeerBoard has continued to develop a robust platform of technology services,
including SmartOrders which digitizes the interaction between retailers and distributors for
automated ordering, inventory and payments; SmartBar which benefits the three tiers simultaneously
through shared real-time data; and SmartMenus, which marries digital menus with consumer
insights and upselling opportunities through QR-code activation. With the launch of
SmartOrders in 2021, BeerBoard expanded into spirits and wine and evolved into the industry’s
full alcohol management platform.
BeerBoard has grown to manage over $1 billion in retail bar sales and over 60,000 products and
their industry-leading platform adopters include retail industry leaders Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters,
Twin Peaks, WingHouse, Mellow Mushroom and TGI Fridays. BeerBoard also partners with
major brewers including Anheuser-Busch, Molson Coors, Boston Beer, Constellation Brands,
Lagunitas, Heineken, Diageo and Yuengling.
